  • The referee between Id and Superego

  • Possesses continuity and identity.
  • Contains four functions Sensation, Thinking, Feeling, and Intuition
  • The conscious, executive, part of personality that mediates, among the demands of id, superego and reality.
  • With the emergence of the ego one often has to recognize that the I that has lived so far is miniscule compared compared to the I that is possible, or that the I that has lived so far is a false I, confounded with false expectations trying to live life backside front.
